A man accused in a deadly Charleston stabbing was in court Thursday. Anthony Grose, 39, of Charleston pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder in the death of 29-year-old Brandon Bandy in September 2024. A trial date in the case was set for July 7, 2025. Charleston police said they found Bandy in a Smith Street parking lot with multiple stab wounds on Sept. 12. Investigators said Grose and Bandy were involved in an altercation involving a female in the 500 block of Leon Sullivan Way when Grose “pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim multiple times” before leaving the area. Grose was arrested shortly after in the 300 block of Laidley Street.
