Lifeguard training is happening this spring with the City of Charleston Parks and Recreation Department and Legendary Lifeguards. Candidates who are at least 15 years old can be certified for free as long as they apply to work at one of the City’s pools and pass the Lifeguard Water Skill Evaluation. Applications are also being accepted for seasonal jobs within the Parks and Recreation Department including concession workers, pool managers, and laborers. To qualify for the free lifeguard certification you can apply through a link on the city website, and then receive information on next steps.
