The City of Charleston Parks and Recreation Department will team up with Kanawha County Parks and Recreation to host the annual Magic Island Easter Egg Hunt this year. The event is planned for Saturday, April 19 from 11 a.m. to noon for all ages and noon to 3 p.m. for kids ages 10 and under. The free community event will feature 30,000 eggs, sensory-friendly activities, a magician, a visit from the Easter Bunny and more. Kanawha Boulevard will be closed that day from 9 am to 3 pm from Pennsylvania Avenue to Delaware Avenue.
