Individuals in two more West Virginia counties are eligible for FEMA assistance

Two additional West Virginia counties have received a major disaster declaration following severe winter weather. Logan and Wayne will join McDowell, Mercer, Mingo and Wyoming counties as being eligible for individual assistance from the federal government, according to a news release from Governor Patrick Morrisey’s Office. The updates comes after severe storms brought high winds, flooding, landslides and mudslides to portions of West Virginia in February. Damage assessments in other counties are pending and are still under consideration for help from the Federal Emergency Management Agency.
