Mountwest Community and Technical College had a ribbon cutting ceremony on Friday for its new Cybersecurity Center. Students in cybersecurity and network administration will do hands-on training on how to defend a computer system while other students are attacking the system. The center was paid for a couple years ago by federal funds courtesy of Sen. Shelley Moore Capito and former Sen. Joe Manchin. Cybersecurity competitions and esports competitions can also be held in the center.
