A man was seriously injured after piloting a paraglider that crashed into power lines in Putnam County Sunday morning. According to Hurricane Mayor Scott Edwards, it happened just after 10 a.m. near Route 34 South near Clymer’s Creek. The Hurricane Fire Department responded to the scene and upon arrival, discovered the pilot of the paraglider had fallen over a hillside nearly 35 feet. Mayor Edwards said the man experienced multisystem trauma and was taken to the hospital for treatment.
