Residents bring up concerns about Charleston’s East End

Community members on the East End of Charleston had their questions and concerns heard by the city on Wednesday. Eyewitness News said people speeding on the East End near Quarrier and Virginia Street was one of the concerns brought up. Council members also walked through the East End to ask residents about the concerns they’ve heard and get feedback. Some of the concerns she heard from residents, apart from speeding and street sweeping, were about homelessness in the area and loitering. The planning department will take their comments into consideration as they craft policies.
