The process of fixing Clendenin’s water issues isn’t a quick one

Nearly 150 customers in Clendenin have been waiting to finally get clean water in their homes through a waterline extension that was announced in 2022. People who live around Skyview Lane in Clendenin have been asking for clean water for as long as they’ve lived there and said they’re tired of leaving their homes to get clean, useable water. Improvements are in the works, but a play for a new water line has stalled out, according to Eyewitness News. This project would give 125 homes access to clean water. Kanawha County Commissioner Lance Wheeler said, it’s going to take two construction seasons to finish. Construction will begin now in the fall of 2026.
