West Virginia basketball coach is leaving for Indiana

After a disappointing end to the 2024-25 season, West Virginia basketball coach Darian DeVries will be moving on from Morgantown. DeVries was named the 31st head of of Indiana’s basketball program, according to Indiana Athletics. WVU athletic director Wren Baker released a statement following the announcement noting he had “several conversations in recent weeks” aimed at keeping DeVries in Morgantown to build the program and compete on a national level. WVU finished seventh in Big 12 standings and missed out on the March Madness tournament. The search is on for a new head coach.
