Transportation officials announced efforts to stripe and repair several roads. The West Virginia Department of Transportation listed two dozen contracts awarded, including road striping in Cabell, Lincoln, Logan and Mingo counties following a $2.5 million bid from Highway Safety Inc. They’ll also complete road striping in Boone, Clay, Kanawha and Mason counties after bidding $2.1 million for the project. Road striping in Fayette, Greenbrier, Monroe and Nicholas counties will be completed by the Aero-Mark Company LLC following a bid of $1.9 million. The DOH noted bids are awarded following an evaluation of project needs, funding sources and engineer estimates. Bids are conducted online and arranged by the DOH contract administration division.
