A Tennessee man is accused of trying to kill two people in Mason County by beating them with a hammer. Kenneth Connell, 45, of Brush Creek has been charged with two counts of attempted murder, according to a criminal complaint filed in Mason County Magistrate Court. Sheriff’s deputies responded to an assault reported along Tribble Road in Leon on Sunday, and found two victims. A witness helped deputies identify the suspect. Connell is being held at Western Regional Jail on a $200,000 surety/cash bail.
