A two-day Festival of Glass celebration is set for the beginning of May at Blenko Glass in Milton. The annual event, which celebrates the work done at the historic company as well as Appalachian arts in general, is scheduled for Friday, May 2 and Saturday, May 3, according to a news release from Blenko. On Friday, special Blenko products are expected to be released. On Saturday, events are scheduled to begin at 8 a.m. with a glass sale and continue throughout the day with games and giveaways, musical performances by Darrin Hacquard, Of The Dell, Emmy Davis and Brad Goodall, live glassblowing demonstrations, local artists and local food trucks. Festivalgoers will have the chance to participate in hands-on glassmaking sessions on brother days of the event.
