The Elk River and Pettigrew Lake received a spring stocking of trout, catfish and bass on Saturday, according to a news release from the Kanawha County Commission. On May 10, a second stocking event is scheduled for 9 a.m. at Meadowood Park in Tornado. The Kanawha County Commission said in a news release that the stocking events will supply 1,000 pounds of fish at each location thanks to a partnership with Indian Lake.
