A former Cabell County gymnastics coach accused of sexually abusing minors has reached a guilty plea. 55-year old Lance Spencer pleaded guilty to sexual abuse by a custodian or guardian and entered a Kennedy plea to possession of child pornography. Spencer had been charged with multiple counts of sexual abuse and was arrested in May 2024 after investigators believed used his position as a coach to target girls who attended Bozhi’s Gym Nest from 2003-23. As part of the plea agreement, Eyewitness News said all of the other 14 charges against Spencer were dismissed. Spencer is scheduled to be sentenced in the case on June 17.
