A Huntington agency aims to solve flooding issues along 3rd and 5th avenues in the Highlawn area. The Capital Improvement Project will separate portions of the storm sewers and sanitary sewers and put in a pump station that will send runoff water into low-risk areas of the Ohio River. The Sanitary Board’s efforts will focus on the intersections of 3rd Avenue and 24th Street, and 5th Avenue and 25th Street.
