Libraries nationwide are left with unanswered questions following President Donald Trump’s executive order to remove the Institute of Museum and Library Services from the federal government. Eyewitness News pointed out that the Kanawha County Public Library depends on the federal funding. There are no decisions as to what to do if these cuts come through. The impact on services wiil remain to be seen. The order was signed on March 14 and it states that the funding will remain until September. West Virginia receives $1.6 million of federal funding to support libraries statewide.
