Five mini potbelly pigs have joined the Putnam County Animal Shelter after workers received a call the animals were not being properly cared for. Eyewitness News said tthe pigs are a first for the shelter and workers describe them as charming, energetic and hungry. The goal is to send all five little pigs to a rescue home. A dog, rabbit and duck were also found on the property. The duck and rabbit were adopted and the dog was returned to the Kanawha Charleston Humane Association. Contact the Putnam County Animal Shelter to adopt the pigs, or make a donation of pig food.
