Senator Capito concerned about staff cuts at OSHA

U.S. Senator Shelley Moore Capito, R-W.Va., held a virtual briefing Thursday with much of the conversation centered around recent layoffs at the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health in Morgantown. Capito said “I wanted to express that I am extremely concerned about this This is impacting and will impact not only the folks that were let go, and families, but also the health and safety of our coal miners and our firefighters.” Capito noted “strong disagreements” and pledged to speak with Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy on the matter
