Shawnee State University in Portsmouth is getting a formal entrance to campus as a part of a project designed to open the campus more and reopen a city street. The work is a Capital Improvement Project paid for by the State of Ohio. Eyewitness News said the price tag is $1.6 million. The project will reopen Third Street between Gay and Waller Street which has been closed for ten years for the safety Shawnee State University students. The project is expected to be finished in June.
