Two face drug charges after a traffic stop in Ashland

A traffic stop in Ashland resulted in two arrests along with the seizure of methamphetamine, fentanyl and crack cocaine along with drug paraphernalia. LaJuan M. Wilkerson of Ashland faces drug charges, plus identity theft, fleeing police and resisting arrest, according to jail records. Amber D. Clark of Barlett, Illinois, was charged with drug trafficking, possession of drug paraphernalia and careless driving. A vehicle driven by Clark was stopped along 13th Street late Monday night and Wilkerson, a passenger in the vehicle, ran from law enforcement after providing a false name. A search turned up drugs worth more than $6,500.
