A worker was struck by a vehicle in a construction zone along Interstate 77 on Monday in Kanawha County and later died. It happened just before 11 a.m. in the southbound lanes of Interstate 77 about four miles before the Marmet exit. The driver of the tractor-trailer that hit him has been charged with negligent homicide. The investigation into the accident is continuing.
