A man was arrested on Friday in connection to multiple fires that were started at a Cabell County church last Wednesday. 38-year old Richard Lee Hill was taken into custody and charged with second degree arson on Friday after he admitted to state police officers that he maliciously set Brighter Day Ministries Church in Lesage on fire twice. The initial fire was reported at the church along the 4000 block of Nine Mile Road just after noon on Wednesday. First responders were able to control the blaze before receiving reports of another fire just more than two hours later. Investigators discovered that the first fire was set to the side of the church while the second fire was started at several locations around the building. Hill is currently being held at Western Regional Jail on a $20,000 bond.
