The Marmet Public Library closed its doors for good over the weekend. The building had been showing its age and the decision makers with Kanawha County Public Libraries determined it wasn’t in anyone’s best interest to have patrons or workers in the library any longer. The KCPL Bookmobile will make regular stops Marmet to fill some of the void, and they’ll do that on Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., and 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. The books held at the Marmet library will be take to other libraries around Kanawha County.
