Marshall University officials are bringing Gov. Patrick Morrisey’s Mountaineer Mile initiative to Huntington. The milelong walk was held Friday at Ritter Park and was led by the first families of Marshall University, Marshall Health Network and the city of Huntington. More than 200 people registered for the event. The Mountaineer Mile, a statewide initiative, encourages West Virginians to take the first step toward lasting wellness through simple daily movement.
