First responders in Cabell County this week cut the ribbon on the brand-new Nancy Cartmill EMS station that is replacing a station that was one hundred years old. The new EMS station is the tenth new station to be built in Cabell County, and will serve the area between 16th Street and 5th Street West in Huntington. The new building will house ambulances and provide a new location for EMTs to store supplies, which used to be stored on the second floor of the EMS headquarters. There is also a training room for CPR and other classes. The station is named after late Cabell County Commissioner and Barboursville Mayor Nancy Cartmill.
