Production of electric school buses on track again after funding delays

GreenPower Motor Company said it is starting to deliver electric buses to West Virginia school districts after working against a funding freeze from the federal government. The company’s vice president of business development and strategy Mark Nestlen credits state officials with leading the charge. Sen. Capito was able to get the money unfrozen, according to Eyewitness News. GreenPower opened a plant in South Charleston back in 2022. Kanawha County Schools transportation director Jason Redman said they’ve received a handful of buses so far.
