The murder trial for the mother and grandparents accused in the apparent starvation death of 14-year-old Kyneddi Miller is stalled for now. Eyewitness News said the court is awaiting competency evaluations and treatments for Julie Miller and Jerry Stone.
During a status hearing Wednesday, Julie Miller, the mother of Kyneddi Miller, and Donna Stone, the grandmother, were both in court. Jerry Stone, the grandfather, was found not competent to stand trial and has been receiving treatment. Miller also asked for a competency evaluation, which has already been completed. The court is still waiting on that final report. All be tried together eventually. They are all due back in court in late July.
