Women arrested for hitting child in the face causing bruising

A Cabell County woman was arrested Friday morning after reportedly striking her child in their face, according to court records. Sara Allien Walker, 32, was charged with child abuse resulting in injury after police responded to a Child Protective Services report just before 10 a.m. in Huntington of a juvenile being struck in the face, according to a criminal complaint filed with the Cabell County Magistrate Court. The CPS worker told police that Walker, the legal guardian of the juvenile, struck the right side of the kid’s face, causing bruising. The worker then gave police the phone number of a witness that knew the child. The witness stated that they had seen a previous incident where the kid was hit by Walker causing the juvenile to cry. Walker was taken to Western Regional Jail where she being held on a $10,000 bond as she awaits trial.
