The West Virginia Division of Natural Resources announced its Gold Rush winners. The DNR said 50,000 golden rainbow trout were stocked during the event, and 100 of those had a numbered yellow tag. Anglers who caught a fish with one of the tags and reported it to the WVDNR were entered into a random drawing for prizes. Mark Reed of Hinton won a lifetime fishing license. There were five winners of a stay at a state park lodge, and five more won state park gift cards.
