West Virginia State named a new head coach of the women’s basketball this week. Whitney Bays, an assistant coach at Memphis University since 2023. Bays has been an assistant coach at Gardner-Webb University. Before her successful collegiate coaching career, she was an assistant coach at Huntington High School for three years.She was twice-named a Gatorade West Virginia Player of the Year while she was a player at Huntington High School.
