Kroger announced Friday that it plans to close 60 stores over the next 18 months. The details came out in their first quarter 2025 sales report. The company did not list the exact stores are being closed. Kroger said they would offer roles in other stores to all associates currently employed at affected stores. A press release from the United Food & Commercial Workers Local 400 Union, did say that the Kroger #739 in Gassaway, W.Va. would close on August 22, 2025.
