Plans are in the works to fix water issues in Milton

People who live in Milton have dealt with unreliable water for years, but a fix is coming.
Phase one of the long-term project is working with secured funding of more than $7 million to update several issues, and Eyewitness News said phase two will replace valves citywide which equals out to more than $2 million. A new storage tank will be added on Kilgore Creek and there will be new water lines off of James River Turnpike and through Conner addition, which goes out East Mud River, according to Milton water project manager Joe Kessler. There’s no timeline for when the projects will be finished.
