Nearly 350,000 West Virginians are hitting the road for the 4th of July holiday travel period, according to AAA. Current gas prices are just above three dollars per gallon, with the national average around $3.22. The day following Independence Day, July 5, is expected to see some of the heaviest traffic, with July 3rd also a peak day.
