Two men arrested for shooting in 2024 have been sentenced to 19 and 20 years

Two men involved in a drive-by shooting near the Shawnee Sports Complex in 2024 were sentenced to prison Friday. Zion Clark, 24, was sentenced to 15 years in prison and Antonio Jacobs, 19, was sentenced to 20 years for a shooting on May 19, 2024, in the 200 block of Smoot Avenue. Clark previously pleaded guilty to three counts of wanton endangerment while Jacobs pleaded guilty to four counts. The men will be credited for time served on their sentences, which will run consecutively. Jacobs and Clark were taken into custody after Nitro police officers said they spotted a vehicle matching the suspect vehicle and made a traffic stop in the area of Martin Pointe and New Goff Mountain Road shortly after the shots were fired. Kanawha County deputies said they found an AR-style rifle in the rear of the vehicle and were told a pistol was under the front seat, according to the criminal complaint from the Kanawha County Magistrate Court.
