High school baseball games will play a little differently in West Virginia beginning in 2027. The national rules committee proposed 10 new rule revisions at an annual meeting last month and they were accepted by its board of directors. A double-first base will be added to help avoid collisions and give the runner and first baseman twice the room. Players will only get one defensive meeting among players per inning. And no player will be able to wear an audio or video device. Other new rules will allow changes to player uniforms.
