First responders said a woman died Tuesday following a structure fire in Mason County. A home in the 2700 block of Lincoln Avenue caught fire shortly before 7 a.m., according to a social media post from the Point Pleasant Fire Department. The post said a woman was pulled from the building and taken to Rivers Health General Hospital where she later died. Eyewitness News said the fire was accidental and remains under investigation by the West Virginia State Fire Marshal’s Office.
