Dunbar couple charged after officers find drugs and a gun within reach of children

Two people from Dunbar are in jail after police said children were found in a home with illegal drugs within their reach. Miranda McVay and Carleton Raines are charged with child neglect. Raines is also charged with being a felon in possession of a gun. Dunbar police said they responded to an apartment on Lightner Avenue for a domestic disturbance. Eyewitness News said officers found meth, weed and other drug paraphernalia easily within reach of the children. They also found a gun in a dresser in the bedroom. Both Raines and McVay are currently in the South Central Regional Jail.
