Officials closed two lanes of Interstate 64 overnight as repairs to the Fort Hill Bridge in Charleston continue. The left and middle eastbound lanes will be closed from 7 p.m. Thursday to 6 a.m. Friday, allowing crews an opportunity to conduct drone mapping, according to the West Virginia Department of Transportation. The news release said the process identifies flaws in pavement that could lead to future problems. Crews aim to minimize traffic impacts by working at night. Portions of the bridge have been closed multiple times this month for emergency repairs as potholes have emerged on one of the most heavily-traveled bridges in the state.
