Kanawha Deputies search for missing truck driver

Kanawha County deputies are asking for the public’s help finding a tractor-trailer driver from Georgia who has been reported missing after breaking down in West Virginia. Eric Macon, 56, of Georgia is believed to have gone missing sometime between June 26 and July 2 after his tractor-trailer broke down in Kanawha County, according to a news release from the sheriff’s office. Macon’s family told investigators he had been staying at a hotel in the Cross Lanes area, but have not heard from him since June 29 and are concerned for his well-being. The man is described as being 5 feet, 8 inches tall and about 175 pounds. He has “Chico” tattooed on his forearm.
