An extensive drug trafficking investigation in Wirt County netted 18 arrests. “Operation Blackjack” resulted in charges being filed against several people from Elizabeth, according to a news release from the Wirt County Prosecutor’s Office. The ages of those arrested ranged from 23 to 60. Prosecutors credited the work of West Virginia State Police, the Department of Human Services, the Division of Corrections and Rehabilitation, the Parkersburg Narcotics Task Force, Wirt County EMS and the Wirt County Sheriff’s Department.
