USA cycling good for economy

The USA Cycling Pro Road National Championships that took over Charleston in May is estimated to have made a $6.9 million economic impact, a 50% increase from the previous year, officials said.The economic impact increase also included a 14% gain in visitor spending, according to a news release from the City of Charleston and the convention and visitors bureau.
