43-year-old seats to be replaced at the Charleston Coliseum

After more than four decades, the original seats at the Charleston Coliseum are being replaced. The coliseum announced Friday that the Luke Bryan concert on Thursday night was the final show for the seats, which have been in the building since 1983. Eyewitness News said Charleston city council members approved a resolution in January 2025 authorizing a contract with Irwin Seating Company to design and install the new seats. The project is expected to get underway soon.
