Senator Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., has made plans to visit West Virginia next month to speak on current economics. He has scheduled three stops on his Fighting Oligarchy Tour to discuss how to handle the power and influence of corporate interests in America: Sanders has long taken issue with the country’s top wealthy elites and their influence on politics. His schedule is Aug. 8 at 6 p.m. – Capitol Theatre in Wheeling – 1015 Main Street, Aug. 9 at 1 p.m. – Lenore Community Center – 19 Laurel Creek Road and Aug. 9 at 6 p.m. – Charleston Convention Center – 200 Civic Center Drive. Sanders is in his fourth term in the U.S. Senate after serving 16 years as Vermont’s only congressman.
