A Cabell County couple are facing charges after investigators found a 7-year-old boy and malnourished dog alone in a home in Huntington where evidence of drug use was apparent, according to court records. Kristopher McGruder and Constance McGruder have been charged with child neglect creating risk of injury and cruelty to animals, according to a criminal complaint filed in Cabell County Magistrate Court. The puppy had no access to food or water. The two were taken to Western Regional Jail.
