Comment period open now for the DEP’s water quality plan

The West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection is giving you more time to share comments on the state’s water quality report after revisions were made. The changes cleard up a dataflow issue between WVDEP’s and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s databases, according to a news release. The issue caused some delisted streams to be excluded. The new documents are posted on the WVDEP website, and the comment period runs through Sept. 8.
