A train derailed in St. Albans late Saturday night. According to the St. Albans Fire Department, the train was hauling 220 cars and nine of them overturned. They were each carrying around 100 tons of coal.. Eyewitness News said no one was injured, but several crossings are closed while the cleanup is happening. No estimated time has been given for when those streets will be reopened. The St. Albans fire department said on social media that the Boone St., Walnut St. and Spruce Street crossings are blocked and will be during a lengthy recovery.
