Driving enforcement campaign to target drug-impaired drivers

The Governor’s Highway Safety Program is teaming up with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and local police departments to crack down on drug-impaired driving.

It’s all part of the “If You Feel Different, You Drive Different” campaign, running now through September 1st.

Law enforcement will be stepping up patrols, especially as we head into the busy Labor Day weekend — with a clear message: drive high, get a DUI.

Officials say drug-impaired driving is becoming a bigger problem, especially with marijuana use on the rise. It can slow your reaction time and affect your ability to stay in your lane, putting everyone at risk.
