Efforts underway to save the Manna Meal breakfast program

Manna Meal in Charleston is being forced to cut back on some of its outreach. The non-profit lost its long-time home at St. Johns Episcopal Church two years ago, and growing needs and expenses have made it hard to keep up. Manna Meal plans to end their daily free breakfast service, starting Aug. 29, but they will keep the daily lunch service going. There are donations rolling in that could save the breakfast program. The Kanawha Valley Collective and the United Way of Central WV are also looking for ways to help those who rely on the breakfast service. There’s more at www.mannameal.org.
