Husband and wife arrested for multiple charges in sale of stolen car

An investigation into a stolen vehicle led to multiple felony changes being filed against two Mason County residents, police said. Jessica Riffle, 39, and Larry Riffle, 45, have both been charged with grand larceny, receiving and transferring stolen goods, forgery and uttering, and conspiracy to commit a felony, according to a social media post from the Mason Police Department. The post said on Wednesday, officers received a complaint regarding a stolen vehicle. Police said a woman claimed she had an agreement with the Riffles to store her vehicle in Hansford until repairs and removal could be arranged. Police said the vehicle was taken to Leon and sold for $500. Investigators found the Riffles had made the sale and forged a title during the transaction. The Riffles are both being held at Western Regional Jail and bonds of $50,000 have been set.
