The West Virginia Department of Transportation announced temporary lane closures between today (Monday) and Wednesday, Aug. 6. These lane closures will take place on Interstate 64 between Exit 53 to Dunbar and Exit 50 to Institute for the Academy Drive and Finney Road bridge rehabilitation projects, according to a news release from WVDOT. Work will take place in the westbound lanes from 9 p.m. Monday until 6 a.m. Tuesday to remove temporary barriers and lane lines, as well as to paint new lane markers to return the westbound lanes to their permanent configuration. Work will take place in the left-hand eastbound and westbound lanes from 7 p.m. Tuesday to 6 a.m. Wednesday to complete work on the median wall and shoulders. Delays are expected.
